Tell me about the ride!

A scenic ride on the back of a Harley Davidson over Sir Lowry’s Pass, through the Elgin Valley and down to the charming seaside town of Kleinmond. We depart and drop off from The Cafe Racer Restaurant in Strand (43 Wesley Street, Strand Central) and our route takes us over the winding Sir Lowry’s Pass all the way through the Elgin Valley, over the exciting and beautiful Houw Hoek Pass, into Bot-River and down to Kleinmond.

After a drinks stop in the Kleinmond Harbour, we head back along the coast where we stop off in Betty’s Bay at the Stony Point Nature Reserve – home to one of the largest successful breeding colonies of African Penguin in the world. Our next stop is Drummond Arms in the small coastal village of Rooi-Els for a refreshment before we hit the road and head along the famous Whale Route or more commonly known as Clarens Drive.

After riding through the charming old town of Gordon’s Bay, we head back to Strand to The Cafe Racer Restaurant.

Make sure you have your camera with you as there will be plenty of photo opportunities on this ride as we take in some awesome views of the Helderberg mountains and of False Bay.

We ride Harley Davidsons – not super bikes. We don’t care about speed – we love to cruise, we enjoy the beautiful scenery, we stop along the way, we chat, we laugh and drink a lot of good coffee. So please bare with us riders (even though we look a bit strange sometimes), we are quite a special bunch of really cool people, and most of all, we love sharing our Harley Davidson experience with others!
